We have three teams of children who work on their own set of aims and objectives throughout the year, reaching out to local communities and charities and helping to make our school a happy place to be.
Children from Year 6 are invited to write to the Head of School to apply to be a Young Leader. As a group they help and support children to make the school a friendly and fair place where everyone feels safe, happy and secure. The young heads take part in learning walks and talk to other children about how they feel in school. They act as playground buddies to anyone who needs a friend or some help to solve a problem. The young head are ambassadors for our school, they attend full governing body meetings and share their ideas for school improvement with the governors. They have written a charter for the school, help organise Core value activities, and help during collective worship.
School Council is made up from children from Year 2 to Year 6. Classes vote for their class mates who will represent them as the school council. The team listen to what things the children would like to improve and suggest ways to do this. They also find ways to support our local and wider community through for example fundraising events. They aim to work on one large project a year that will enhance and improve the school for everyone.
Our House Captains are pupils currently in Year 6. They represent their house through the year in sporting events and competitions, they help organise inter-house competitions and sports day. House Captains encourage every child to do their best at all times and to earn house points as a result. Every week the house captains collate the house point totals which are announced in the weekly celebration assembly. The house with the most house points each term earns a mini-treat organised by the house captains.Contact Us
